Site Launch: JournalismInteractive.org

Originally contracted to create the identity and website for this new conference hosted at the University of Maryland. Built the site in Drupal using the Framework theme as a base (which was a nice start).
The identity mark (seen below) was designed as a play off of the concepts of a prism and almost completely converged Venn diagram to symbolize the different groups (educators and professionals), as well as the different media types, coming together to form a strong whole. We went through a few designs of the logo, but settled on this and the modern serif text as the best option. So far, a positive response.

Site Launch: N21’s Bay on the Brink
Bay on the Brink is a multimedia reporting project examining the fate of the Chesapeake Bay. It is produced by journalism fellows at theUniversity of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism as part of News21, a consortium of journalism schools. Served as a faculty member for the summer fellows, serving as art director and principle developer. Site is built on Drupal.

Site Launch: N21’s The New Voters
The New Voters was produced by 12 journalism fellows at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, including two visiting from the University of Missouri and University of Texas at Austin. Their work is part of News21, a national journalism program. Worked as site developer and assisted in art direction of some projects. Site is built in Drupal.
